Registration Begins

March 1, 2008. (Current and returning families receive registration priority through March 10, 2008)

Application Fee

$45.00 non-refundable fee for 2008-2009; $15 nonrefundable fee for Summer 2008

Class Tuition

Little Hands tuition covers parent-child participation in all day classes, 6 fun and informative parent night classes, and an array of wonderful family events - including the Ice Cream Social, Halloween Party, Valentine Pancake Breakfast, All School Picnic, and more!

In addition, our annual Spring Event and Auction is a time-honored adult event where parents are invited to an evening of food, drink, entertainment, and a live and silent auction.

Tuition for 2008-2009 is as follows:

Refundable Maintenance Deposit

In addition to tuition, families are charged a $150 refundable maintenance deposit at the start of the year. Once the family has participated in their maintenance cleaning day, the deposit will be refunded. No maintenance deposit is due for the January Baby Class.

Registration Dates

We will begin accepting applications via our website starting on March 1, 2008. Current and returning parents will have priority from March 1 through March 10, but new parents are also invited to register starting March 1. A nonrefundable $45 application fee is charged with applications for the 2008-2009 school year; for Summer 2008, the nonrefundable application fee is $15.

For returning and alumni families, Little Hands tries to guarantee a place in an age-appropriate class for their child, but not a specific class. Little Hands also tries to accommodate as many new families as we can. The number of new families that are accepted changes from year to year.

Notification of Class Placement / Waitlist Status

Class placement information will be sent out via email in May 2008. To ensure that you receive email from Little Hands, please add the email address "registrar@littlehands.org" to your address book. If you have not received email from Little Hands in a timely manner, please check your spam folder.

Tuition for summer enrollment is due by May 15. Tuition for fall is due by July 1. If payment is not received by the due date, your place in class may be given to another family, and you may be placed on the waitlist. You do not owe tuition if you are on the waitlist.

With your class placement information, you will also receive an online enrollment kit, which includes the following forms:

a confirmation of the registration information,
the participating parent's medical form (TB test),
the pre-admission health evaluation (doctor's clearance),
an emergency medical authorization,
job request form,
photo release,
list of parent co-op responsibilities.

Class Refund Policy

Class Refund Policy (effective July 1, 2006)
The following is the Little Hands tuition reimbursement policy; please read it carefully.

For families exercising the single-payment discount:
Class drops before September 30, 2008 will receive 75% of tuition reimbursed. Class drops before December 10, 2008 will receive 25% of tuition reimbursed. Class drops after December 10 will not be eligible for reimbursement.
For families exercising the two-payment plan:
Class drops before September 30, 2008 will receive 50% of first payment tuition reimbursed. Drops after September 30, 2008 will not be eligible for reimbursement. Once second payment is submitted, class drops before December 10, 2008 receive 50% of second payment tuition reimbursed. Drops after December 10 will not be eligible for reimbursement.

No tuition reimbursements will be issued without a completed Drop/Transfer Request form. Drop/Transfer requests should be submitted to the Treasurer at P.O. Box 675, Belmont, CA, 94002. Alternately, you may submit the form online, at http://www.littlehands.org/scripts/change/add.php. The date the form is received (not the last date of attendance) will be used to calculate the reimbursement amount.

Maintenance deposits will be reimbursed to those in good standing approximately two weeks after a Maintenance Day is worked.
