Harvest Festival at Little Hands Come Learn the Little Hands Way!
Little Hands is a non-profit, parent participation school that has been serving Bay Area families for three decades. Our mission is to provide a safe haven and strong community where families can connect and grow.
![]() Parents and their children, aged 8 to 33 months, attend classes together, which are led by Little Hands degreed and credentialed teachers. Classes are 2 hours in length. They meet 1-2 times per week during the regular school year, and during a separate 6-week summer session. Parents and children come together as a group twice in each class for snack and music time. In each class, babies and toddlers are invited to play, learn and explore toys and activities specifically selected for their little hands and growing minds. As the children play, parents either supervise specific stations, or they observe the children’s behaviors and take part in a small-group discussion moderated by the teacher. In both cases, parents are provided the opportunity to gain greater insight into the cognitive, social, emotional and physical development of babies and toddlers, while actively developing and honing their parenting approach. Beyond the day classes, parents attend six fun and informative evening classes each school year. Additionally, all families are invited to take part in numerous family events – including the Ice Cream Social, Halloween Party, Valentine Pancake Breakfast, All School Picnic, and more! Our focus is to foster parent involvement and community building for the benefit of parents & children alike! |
